As a lacrosse coach, and parent, the scariest thing is to see a player hurt during a game. Unfortunately, a devastating injury occurred in a playoff game to a local player named Gunnar. Upon hearing the news, Coach Dave started a fundraiser at the next playoff game and decided Flashpoint would MATCH the amount raised. After the game we raised $750, then another $556, then more…When all said and done the Riverbend Lacrosse family raised almost $1600 in 3 days and Flashpoint matched that! Gunnar is on the long road to recovery, and we will continue to monitor his progress and hope for a full recovery.
