About

History

In 1999, I started working for “Bay Fireworks” in NY as a technician. After that summer they hired me full-time to work in their office. Up to 2003, I stayed there until the company needed layoffs due to 9/11 lack of work in the major NYC market.

In 2008, they called and asked if I would come back and run their Westhampton facility-the main hub for the company. After returning, the company began to expand to facilities in 10 states and I was responsible for all of them.

My main duties were the day-to-day operations of the facilities, payroll, staffing, purchasing product/racks/electronics, distribution of product/electronics/racks to each location based on the needs, keeping up with regulations, ATF variances, show design, and crew chief of major shows. I was basically in charge of all aspects of the 1.3 side of the business while they expanded the close-proximity/tour side of the business (Volt Live).

While working in the fireworks industry:

  • Crew-chief Shows for the NY Mets, NY Jets, Jones Beach, Fireworks Symposium at Disney World, Busch Gardens, and many more.
  • In the fall of 2019, I was laid off due to Bay Fireworks dissolving the 1.3g side of the business to solely focus on indoor events…so I began Flashpoint Logistics, LLC (proud APA member as well).

Then the pandemic hit and we all know what the professional fireworks and live event industry went through. However, we all knew it would bounce back and we hung in there and years later Flashpoint Logistics is bigger and better than ever!

  • In 2023, we also started a 1.3 and 1.4 pro wholesale company called Firework Imports, offering purchasing options for small to medium fireworks companies. This was to also supplement the requirements of my customers bringing in product directly from China with my assistance. Sales increase, targets move, items get delayed-so there’s always a need to fill the gap.

Every year we are adding to our products and services, most recently to include stage machine rentals!
